Rebbecca Black debuted her first festival appearance at The Great Escape, performing at Club Revenge on the festival's second day.

You may know her from her viral youtube hit ‘friday’ which currently sits at 160 million views, but this superstar has taken the queer pop scene by storm with her latest release “Rebecca black was here’ EP on the 16th of June 2021. She has worked with the likes of alternative hip-hop star bbno$ collaborating on their track ‘yoga’, this song is bound to have you bobbing your head up and down and moving side to side with the track's catchy dance influence.

This Californian native was shot down by the internet at such a young age but this phoenix rising through the ashes did not fail to get this crowd on her side, although she is most known for her hit song ‘friday’ after listening to her EP it couldn't be more clear that she is more than that. With her fusion of hyper-pop uniqueness mixed with her unforgettable stage presence, Rebecca Black is definitely one to watch, after bouncing back from years of internet hate with such optimism, her hyper-pop chaos-filled remix of ‘Friday’ had everyone screaming the lyrics back at her.

Working alongside some of the biggest artists in the scene alongside artists like 100gecs, Dorian Electra and racking up a massive 700,000 Spotify monthly listeners on Spotify. She recently featured on  MØ's latest release ‘new moon’. In an interview with DIY Magazine the song was detailed as one about ‘regaining control and manifesting a new era’ nothing seems more perfect for Black to feature on.

Her first festival debut couldn't have gone any better, and with an ongoing UK tour undoubtedly Rebecca black is absolutely smashing it right now. The set was handcrafted with her songs ‘girlfriend’, ‘personal’ where she bought a shiny silver chainsaw on stage and a cover of LA ROUX’s ‘bulletproof’. I don't think it will be long till we see her name lighting up a variety of festival lineups, if there's one word to describe her, bulletproof fits perfectly.
