Brightons “The Great Escape” announces completes its full line up for the festival in May.

Brightons “The Great Escape ''music festival returns for its 16th annual event in May later this year. Showcasing over 500 of the best emerging artists from across the world taking place across over 30 walk-in grassroots venues from all over Brighton. Brought together with the massive labels, promoters and A&R scouts from across the industry to celebrate live music. 

The Great Escape is the perfect place to be this May bank holiday. Whether you want to lose yourself in the plethora of live music and stay up partying until the sun rises or you’re interested in getting into the live music world where you can network with the industry at the TGE Conference, packed with insightful panels from the leading industry professionals.

There is truly something for everyone at The Great Escape.

Yonaka 

Brighton Based Yonaka are breaking back into the scene with their newest release “Welcome to my House” for their EP of the same name. Off of the back of their last release “Seize the Power”, a project filled with empowering anthems and vulnerable ballads alike, their live shows are always bound to be explosive and a full sense of escape for the audience. We can’t wait to see what they have in store for The Great Escape.

NOISY

Emerging from the South Coast town of Worthing. NOISY have embraced music critics and fans alike with their unique blend of genre, reminiscent of The Prodigy and The Chemical Brothers. Brought to life with Lyrical themes of Living for the Weekend and escaping the mundane in life. Their sound translates incredibly smoothly into their live sound, with pits opening, an insane atmosphere and energy that will transfer through every soul. NOISY will be worth being there for.

James Marriott

Youtube sensation James Marriott has proved to the world he's much more than a “Youtube Musician”. His Indie style music is full of energy, catchy hooks and quality lyric songwriting. So be prepared for an emotional set is full of sing along anthems that will be stuck in your head all day. Marriott is destined to make movements in the industry in the near future, so make sure to be there early before it’s too late.

Maisie Peters

Sussex born Singer Songwriter Maisie Peters, 22, will be gracing Brighton in an emotional hometown headline show. From being signed to Atlantic Records after only two singles to touring the world with Ed Shearan, Peters is quickly becoming a household name from fans from across the world. Her performance is guaranteed to pull on your heartstrings.

Louis Hitchcock (Louishitchphotos/FEATS)

Vlure

Glaswegian based post punk band Vlure captured our attention at The Lexington in London last year. With their Blend of harsh punk vocals reminiscent of Fontaines DC and Electronic backbeats that wouldn't sound out of place at Maggie's Club in the 80s, VLURE are always guaranteed to have the room moving and manufacturing a memorable sound that will set you free.

Willie J Healy

Willie J Healy returns to Brighton ahead of his new album “Bunnie”, with the leading single “Thank you” featuring Jamie T. The Indie Folk artist has just come off a UK tour with Florence and the Machine with The Great Escape coming just before a European tour with Indie Legends “Arctic Monkeys”. With Healy saying “I think I’m at my best now”, there truly couldn't be a better time to see him.
